"Damian, this is beautiful," Melody looked up at the night sky adorned with stars and the moon full and round, shining brightly. Around them was a garden, a table in front of them, and a single red-scented candle placed in the middle with some covered dishes.
"I am happy to hear that," he placed a hand on the small of her back as he led her to a seat. He pulled the seat for her and she sat before walking around the table to his own seat. "Are you hungry? Let's see if the dishes are to your liking," he said with a hand gesture.
"I can't believe you had this prepared while you made us take a detour. I am quite impressed and I do love it," Melody said. She looked at him all smiles and he felt it was the right moment. Perhaps before their dinner, he could….
