With her phone in hand, she stared blankly at the screen, all strength had been lost and all she could do was just sit and stare at it. "I want to be happy for you guys but…" She trailed off and fell back on the bed with her gaze on the ceiling.
The creaking Sound of the door had her turning towards it and she found him standing there. He had taken a bath and had a change of clothes. He was now dressed in more comfortable clothes and seemed ready for bed. Without saying a word to him, Diana moved her gaze back to the ceiling which she now found more interesting than the man before her.
"Can we talk?" he moved closer, raking slow steps so she did not raise her guard against him. He could feel the invisible wall that she raised but he had to press forward. "Please…"
"..."
Diana said nothing. Her gaze never wandered anywhere else.
