The party went on with my coming to toast Melody which she did with just a single glass of wine. She was not used to drinking so she wouldn't force herself to drink with people whom she did not know.
"Miss Nova," a young man whom Melody thought to be about 28 years old, walked to her with a glass of wine and raised it for a toast.
Melody looked at him and could immediately tell that this came with other intentions. The smile he wore was already enough to irritate her. Not that he was the only one forcing a smile tonight, he did not look any different but for some reason, it irritated her.
"I am Heinz, Miss Nova, would you prefer Melody?" he asked with a sweet smile and Melody wished to punch it away from his face.
"Miss Nova will do just fine," she replied with a flat tone. She did not want to sound angry and give him the wrong ideas.
