After many had been shooed away, Melody took the very last sip of her wine and gave the glass to a waiter who just walked by her. She was just about to find some place to sit because the heels on her feet were starting to hurt her but stopped when she heard the voice of Mr. McCain and he approached her. It seemed it was finally time for the higher-ups to come to her.
"Congratulations, Miss Nova," he said, stopping in front of her. "care for toast?" he asked, picking another glass of wine from a waiter to offer her since here was now empty.
"Thank you, Uncle Silas, you don't have to be so formal," she said and the man smiled.
"You are the boss now, we all ought to show some respect to you," he said and they raised their glasses. "Cheers to a successful reign,"
"Cheers," Melody said and took a sip of the wine.
