Melody and Damian were both having the meal and a nice conversation catching on to everything that happened in the short time they were away from each other when Melody's phone pinged with a message from Abigail.
The hand that held the glass towards her lips paused as she looked at it. Taking a sip of the wine, she placed it back on the table and picked up the phone to read the message and her expression turned grim immediately.
She froze for almost thirty seconds until Damian held her hand and she regained consciousness. But her eyes were still glued to the phone.
