"Is that you?" The moment Collins walked out of the door, Marianne looked in a certain direction where a man was sitting with his back to them on the table behind her. The air around him felt familiar. She had felt his presence a minute ago but she didn't call him.
Hearing her voice he nodded but he didn't turn around to look at her. Sandra turned in his direction too, surprised that she didn't notice him but Mariann did.
"How is she?" Marianne asked. If there was anyone whose words she could truly count on would be him. He is the one taking care of her after all.
"She is well," He replied. His familiar voice helped wash away all doubts that were still lingering in their hearts.
"We want to meet her?" Marianne went straight to the point knowing that he could stand up and leave anytime soon.
