Melody spent a little more time with them listening to how the island had been all these years while she had been away and she told about her life five years ago, where she lived, and how she lived.
When she was done narrating her story, the two women became emotional, staring at her with admiration. They didn't know who sister Margaret was but they were grateful that she was there when they were not.
"That is everything there is to know about me for the past five years," Melody said. She stared at her hands with a smile on her face. She didn't even know why she was smiling but she did. Perhaps it was because of the way they looked at her with care and concern that had brought that smile to her face.
"I am glad that you decided to come back. Nothing would have been the same anymore," Marianne said, taking Melody's hand with both of her own. "Your parents will be proud of you for coming back."
