Leander smiled seeing her reaction. When she kissed his cheek, he didn't know why his heart skipped a beat. She was happy and he got exhilarated.
And it seems like she cries when she is happy too. She must have a separate compartment in her skull to store her tears.
She was adorable as she looked at the ring. It was obvious that she loved the ring.
She thought she wouldn't wear a wedding ring. She thought she would die. But here she is, on his lap, as his wife. And she is happy. That's all he needed from her.
But he could see the smile leaving her face. And her face went pale.
His heart skipped a beat. He knew once she gets this way, her eyes will turn to distant eyes and she will speak hurtful words. And he will end up hurting her in return.
He didn't want that to happen.
