Gabriella sneezed the moment she stepped out of the house. It was chilly out in the middle of the night. She looked around for the guards.
She couldn't see much security. Which was odd. She carefully closed the main door. But it didn't close entirely. Someone was pulling it from behind.
Her heart skipped a beat. She wanted to make a clean escape from this house. But it appears that she was caught.
She waited to see who that was.
"Mary! Why are you here?" Gabriella whispered. Mary helped her in mapping out the route for her escape. Why is she here now?
"Here," Mary stuffed a stack of bills in her hands.
Gabriella took a peek and they were all $100 bills.
"Where did this money- I don't want money," Gabriella said. But then she realized she didn't have money for a cab even. She took out a couple of bills and tried to give the rest back to Mary.
