Leander couldn't stop thinking about Lionel's outburst on his way back. It was already dark, and he wanted to go home for dinner. He forgot about every other woman Lionel mentioned but he only remembered what he said about Viviana.
Is her life in danger?
"Steve, if a woman tells you that she cannot carry a child, what does that mean?" he asked.
Whenever he repeated it, that woman got sad. So, is it a sad thing or was she overreacting as usual?
Steve gulped as he didn't know how to break it to Leander. He married her knowing she can't carry a child and after mocking her for it. And now he is asking this weird question. At times, he does not understand Leander at all.
"It could have a literal meaning. Some people don't know how to carry a baby. But usually…" Steve hesitated.
"What?" Leander urged Steve to speak up.
"It might mean that she is infertile—unable to carry a child in her womb," Steve gave the explanation.
