At first, it was going on well. The men were raging about going in to ambush us not knowing we were sneaking between them.
Suddenly, when Mia pushed a cart down, the noise drew them to us, and as though they could see regardless of the fog, they charged at us.
It was as if the market had been cleared of all the people we saw in it before as the whole road was empty now.
