I understood the strange girl's earlier screams now. I could feel what she felt. I was screaming myself now, both of our identical voices creating a spooky rhythm.

Right now, his clothes had formed a slouched position on the floor with one of his legs bent and the other lying straight. One of his sleeves was over his now headless collar and the dust that he had become was darker than ash.
It was burning too as though it was a bag of sand previously extracted from an inferno.
