Senior Oliver's suicide note read thus;
"I am going to die. But if I must die, I must do what I can to atone for my sins. I have done some things that I am not so proud of.
Katz, I need you to know that I love you. I loved you so much that I hated you. I hated you when you left Amanda because I fretted that would somehow be detrimental to our friendship. I thought; if you knew that and indeed cared for the bond we shared, you wouldn't have done a thing that could hurt my sister and thereby, hurt me too.
Although, I know that isn't enough reason to justify my actions. Keep this note away from anybody in the school. Burn it after reading it too. I know you won't involve the authorities in the search for my body so, I left it in my pocket for you to find it.
Katz, I know you would find me. I believe in you — in us. I hope one day, we meet in the afterlife (if there is one) and we can be friends again.
