Since Teacher Elora had been appointed as the new Dean, some things had changed in the school. She implemented some new laws, one of which was a monthly meeting with the teachers, school authorities, the dean herself, and all the top students.
Since I was the only top student in year one, I attended the first meeting. It was the first and last we had before the competition.
I felt so inferior sitting with all of that powerful presence. My eyes were on Teacher Nyx unwaveringly, hoping any of the teachers would notice what she was, yet no one seemed to.
