They might be getting tricked here again.
"If we only had to be wary of humans, it wouldn't have been that easy to copy someone's handwriting."
But the letter was handed to Evania by someone from that entity. It could have been faked. Or it was real, but they made Marcus write it.
"From what I learned from my lessons with the Overseer, the gods cannot directly interfere in a number of things since they would receive punishment from their Father, the eldest god who created existence.
