Varya felt like she and Ebari were an old married couple. They could sit comfortably in silence with each other but the alcohol was concerning her and she couldn't help her curiosity.
"What are you thinking about?" she asked.
Ebari didn't lift his eyes from his glass but he knew he had her undivided attention. There was only one person in the universe he could bare his heart to.
"I visited Kruos today," he said. "Seeing him makes me feel… worse."
The auburn-haired alien took a sip of the wine.
Varya could tell he wasn't done speaking and she remained silent, sipping on her drink while patiently waiting for him. She had a concerned expression on her face.
