After his day was cut short prematurely, Galen was happy to be back in his quarters. The experience he had with Ebari that morning was affecting him in an unexpected way. He couldn't get the thought out of his head that the emperor was suffering in silence from something. It made him wonder if Varya knew what it was.
Galen didn't want to admit it to himself but he could relate to Ebari. Before he started meditating in order to control his fiery temper, he felt on the verge of an explosion at all times. Things he expected to fix his rage never did and it only continued to build.
The emperor coming into the training room gave Galen a view of the alien that he had never seen before. He felt lonely the moment his eyes landed on Ebari.
