Varya held up her emerald gown as she stepped into the elevator, being sure that nothing was caught as the door closed. The moment she was sure no one else was there, besides her and Ebari, she started taking deep breaths and shaking out her arms.
Ebari looked at her with an amused expression on his face. One of his lightly auburn eyebrows raised in curiosity.
"Are you alright?"
Varya shut her eyes and shook her head for a moment. Her body became still and she leaned against the wall so she wouldn't lose her balance as the elevator made its way to the main floor of the castle.
"I'm freaking out," she said. "How am I supposed to face all of those people and expect them to believe I'm their leader?"
She sighed again and opened her eyes to see golden orbs staring at her with a mix of concern and amusement.
