Prince Basileus made it to his seat and Theron followed him closely behind. He shamelessly took Varya's gloved hand and kissed the back of it before sitting down.
"Doesn't the empress look lovely, this evening?" he asked.
There was resounding agreement from the people present.
Ebari had to play the role of a jealous husband by resting his arm along the back of Varya's chair and Galen had to try and hold back a laugh.
"Thank you, prince," Varya said using an emotionless voice.
As she observed Theron take his seat next to Solana, the nanny seemed to get even more timid.
"Oh, forgive my rudeness," Varya suddenly said. "Solana, this is Major General Theron. He was acting General upon Prince Basileus's disappearance but he has resumed his role as a pilot and Major for the time being. Theron, meet my dear friend Solana."
