Varya bit her lip to hold back a smile.
"Are you asking for a particular reason or in general?" she asked. "Are you talking about…" Varya trailed off, not wanting to reveal his secret in a place he wasn't comfortable with.
Galen blushed and Varya had to resist the urge to pinch his cheeks. Things like that made it obvious that he was a 19-year-old trapped in the body of someone in their mid-twenties. He was inexperienced in life and she couldn't resist teasing him for it.
Somehow, she held back.
"I accidentally said something to Ebari the night he got hurt," Galen confessed. "He didn't say no but he didn't respond. Maybe he just doesn't see me like that at all. How do I get him to see me in that way? How did you do it?"
Varya couldn't believe he had said something to Ebari and it was the first time she was hearing about it.
"Well, first of all, what did you say to Ebari?" Varya asked.
