Ebari tried to call out but a guard put a hand over his mouth just in time. He nearly bit the guard's hand but the purple alien pulled his hand back before Ebari got the opportunity.
It was hopeless. The moment the door between their quarters was shut, there was no way he could hear them or they could hear him. When he redid their quarters, he did that on purpose so Varya and he could both retain their privacy but it was coming back to haunt him.
His anger was rising. Never did he think this would be in their cards. They had been good emperors enough to avoid some kind of insurrection or rebellion. This was completely unexpected.
