Basileus was entirely under Varya's control by that point. He had taken it upon himself to make sure that she wasn't stressed out and, if staying by her side was the way he could achieve that, he was going to do just that.
"What are we doing?" he asked as she dragged him into the bathroom.
Carefully, she began unpinning her hair. When her hair was in bouncy curls around her shoulders and down her back, she started brushing them out.
By the look on her face, before they went into the bathroom, he could have sworn she wanted to do something else other than finish her hair. He hid his disappointment as he leaned against the counter and watched her.
Once the tight curls were brushed out to voluminous waves, she was finally satisfied and turned to the prince.
"Your turn," she said.
"For what?" he asked. "I'm ready to leave."
