They switched once more. It was unexpected for Sage, but she was relieved that there was no pain felt in their hearts this time. Her smile remained, but it was faint because of the emotionless expression he gave her.
"You should get some rest. It is already dawn." His voice was cold, and he breathed a deep sigh of relief because he didn't detect fear in her. Not even a smidgeon.
Sage nodded, a faint smile on her lips, and he resumed drying her hair with the towel with extreme focus, which caused Sage to giggle lightly, causing Cyrus to pause.
"Is something amusing?" He inquired slowly.
"There is no difference." She immediately responded, stood up, and took the towel from him. "I think we should sleep together." She told him with zeal.
Sage laughed and wrapped her arms around Cyrus' neck, raising his brows slightly as he wondered why she wasn't disappointed by the unexpected switch.
