Chapter 28 - Only I can kill her!

"Do not answer my question with a question, Cyrus Dragos," Sage frowned.

"Answer my question, parrot."

Sage's frown deepened. "I asked a question first so you have to answer it first. How can I answer yours when I can't read your mind? Plus it is just a simple yes or.." Cyrus interrupted Sage's blabbering with a deep kiss.

He had been watching her blabbering lips move, how quickly they parted and closed.

She kissed him back, as she, too, craved his lips, and whimpered as he sucked and bit her lips.

"Cyrus!" She grabbed his hair as he bit her lips harder.

His bite was making her body hotter than it was, her breast was swelling, and the dampness between her legs was unbearable.

He was making her feel like a masochist, which she was not.

Cyrus opened his eyes, which had transformed into their reptile-like eyes. She was yanking his hair like if she wanted to pull it out, while he biting her lips to feel the energy of her fire core.

Was she feeling pain?

He bit her lips until he could taste her blood and sucked slowly.

"C.. Cyrus." She moaned into his mouth.

"Fuck!" Cyrus cursed feeling his member twitch.

The woman was making him insane!

He was no longer interested in sensing the energy of her fire core, but in kissing and licking every inch of her body and drowning her in himself.

It was only lust.

The sexual tension was palpable, and the ostensibly frigid room was quickly becoming hot.

"Cyrus.. Cyrus.. touch me." Sage stuttered and breathe into his mouth.

Cyrus broke the kiss and they stared at each other, catching their breath in sync

"No." Cyrus replied and Sage's lust filled eyes widened.

"What!" She gasped in disappointment.

"I do not want you to carry me in your heart." Cyrus replied, his voice flat, his expression blank yet his eyes revealed an emotion that she could not explain.

Sage was at a loss for words.

She mistook his refusal to touch her for his statement about her carrying him in her heart. He was unpredictable and strange, and she was seeing a different side of him, or was it due to her lust for him? Did he want to touch her?

"D..." A knock on the door was heard just as her lips parted. Cyrus unwrapped her arms and strode towards the door.

When he opened the door, Isabella stood there with a tray of breakfast, smiling warmly at him.

"Good morning, Cyrus!" She exclaimed, pretending happiness.

Cyrus titled his head to the side and asked, "Did you hit your head with a rock?"

His question made Sage giggle and Isabella frown.

"Here is your breakfast." Isabella pointed the tray at him.

Cyrus stared her blankly then back at Sage who was seated on the bed rubbing her palms anxiously.

"Join us." He told Isabella and Sage's eyes widened in shock.

"What!" Sage and Isabella exclaimed in unison.

He nodded and walked towards the bed while Isabella entered looking excited.

Seeing Sage looking abnormally pale, she gasped, "Wow! You look like a corpse!"

"And you look like a maid." Sage gasped dramatically.

Isabella frowned deeply. "Let's eat." She said through her teeth and moved her gaze to Cyrus whose focus was on Sage.

Fury engulfed her heart, she wanted to scream but calmed down when Cyrus moved his gaze to her.

"Yes, let's eat."

He sat next to Sage, and Isabella approached them, sitting next to him. Her face turned red as she moved closer to him, their arms touching.

Sage who saw this didn't know how to feel. Did she care? Did she want to care?

"Stand up, a maid serves her masters not eat with her masters." Cyrus snapped at her with irritation.

"What!" Isabella exclaimed in shock and disbelief.

"Cyrus, she..."

"Ava was told to bring our breakfast but Isabella brought it which means she is our maid." Cyrus spoke nonchalantly. "She wants to be a maid then let her be." Cyrus added and collected the tray of food from Isabella who then slowly stood looking hurt and embarrassed.

She turned away wanting to leave the room but Cyrus stopped her.

"Stay. You have a lot of work to do."

Isabella stiffly turned to face the couple and got enraged seeing Sage stare at her with pity.

Cyrus took a spoon of pudding and pointed it at Sage's lips. "Here." He whispered.

"She can leave Cyrus, there is nothing more to do." Sage spoke up.

"There will be, now eat up." Cyrus insisted firmly and Sage felt strange.

'He is acting nice. Is it because Isabella is here? Why is he torturing her? Is something really going on between them?' Sage asked her thoughts and slowly parted her lips.

Immediately Cyrus placed the spoon of pudding in her mouth and she swallowed, Sage felt strange like her stomach was about to explode. Her eyes turned fiery red, blood trailed out of her nose and at the side of her lips.

Seeing this, a big smile appeared on Isabella's face while Cyrus stared at Sage dully.

A sharp pain banged in her stomach and she shouted in pain.

"Poison. Proves that you are nothing but a lowlife." Cyrus hissed and turned his dull gaze to Isabella.

"Even if you kill me, she will also die." Isabella laughed maniacally.

Cyrus nodded and wrapped his arms around Sage bringing her head to his chest.

She bursted into tears and wailed as the pain in her stomach increased, the blood flowing out of her nose and at side of her lips flowed out even more.

"Yes I will kill you but she won't die, at least not yet." Cyrus stated maintaining the calmness in his voice.

Isabella's eyes widened at his unexpected words. "Not now?" She realised that she had made a huge mistake.

She fell on her knees and screamed out. "Please have mercy!"

"Tsk. Highly pathetic." He threw all the food on her and yelled. "She is mine only I can kill her!"
