There was a sense of foreboding as Kane stood inside Rose's darkened mind. He realized he was not alone. The sound of heavy footsteps came from behind. Kane whipped around and observed Christopher marching in anger, and in the distance, he saw Thorn Manor. Rose was to his right in riding gear, watching him retreat. It was her nightmare. She was in the midst of watching her world fall apart like she had done every night since the soiree.
Kane figured it was the trauma of tonight's events that still had Rose caught in this trap. The angst of being rejected was playing out in her subconscious. The dream slowly faded and vanished just as Christopher reached the mansion, and everything fell into darkness once more.
