The entire lodge trembled as Christopher pounded his fists on the guest room door. Rose did not respond to him. He was furious she had defied him.
Checking the knob, it would not turn even after he tugged at it. Pulling the master key from his pocket, Chris opened the lock. Once again, he tried to move the door, but it would not budge.
In frustration, Christopher ran his hands through his hair. Behind him, Haydon and Bryson surveyed the scene. His growling and pacing resembled those of a caged animal. And the men saw hellfire ignite in The Lord's eyes.
In an attempt to reach Rose, he was anxious, but her not responding was making him insane. If only she would at least answer him, it wouldn't be so bad. Finally having enough, he decided to break the door down.
