After Christopher had finished bathing Rose, he cleaned and bandaged her ear, then helped her dress, noticing she was still edgy and disturbed from the nightmare. He placed a kiss on the crown of her head.
"It's time to feed, and I'm not talking about Sangré tea. Come along with me."
His hand tugged on hers, dragging Rose back to the bed. Taking her in his arms, he cradled her as if she were a child.
"Help me with my shirt, Love." he asked Rose, waiting for her to undo the buttons.
She gently undid each button with her tiny fingers, and The Lord shrugged off the shirt. Rose snuggled up to the brawny man, slipping her hands over his soft, smooth skin pulled against the taut muscles. Christopher's body was solid, as if he were a masterpiece carved from marble.
