Deacon and Sir Nash walked to the village behind Northbrook. Night had come quickly, and the hour was late. It smelled of fresh rain, and drops of water fell from the new green leaves that were bursting forth as the storm slowed to a drizzle. It was early spring, and the weather would soon change. The days were getting warmer.
"W-w-where are wwwe g-g-going Sir Nash?" questioned Deacon.
"Back to the village. We are planning to teach you some things today," said the elder knight.
"Who is ww-we?"
"Sir Bryson and Sir Haydon should be back by now. They said they would assist us," Nash told Deacon.
"Bb-but it's dark and w-wet!" The little boy exclaimed with a sense of dread in his voice.
Deacon, an enemy does not care if it is light or dark, so you must always be prepared for an attack. That is one of the reasons you are training out here tonight.
