"Also, we will take dinner in my study first. Please put her in something beautiful for this evening. Tonight will be a special time for Rose."
There was a glint in Christopher's eye, and the servant understood what he meant.
Lucy raised her brows and clicked her tongue at The Lord.
"Have you no shame? Taking a girl like her before you marry," she grumbled, giving Lord Thorn a stern look.
"That will be all, Lucy," said Christopher. Glaring back at her sideways. The servant could hear the warning in his words.
The maid went to her room to gather things before she headed to help Rose. She would be sure to take good care of the new lady.
