Before continuing, Sir Bryson sat silently, lost in his thoughts.

The nobles and other knights mocked, punched, and slapped me as we walked past them. I shivered from the winter wind. My hands and fingers had gone numb from touching the frozen ground."
"All the beatings I received, from the noble court left the cold flesh on my body stinging and turning blood-red The pain in my head was excruciating from the number of times I was struck, my nose was bleeding, and my ears rang. In the end, I was so sore and cold that I could not move, but Tythes kept pulling me along. Kicking my gut when I slowed down, causing a searing pain race though my stomach and chest. This suffering made me want curl up on the frozen cobblestones of the courtyard and die."
