The sun was past noon in the sky as Lord Alexsander glanced back and felt the intense seriousness of the conversation between Christopher and Sir Bryson.
As he looked around, he could tell the travelers were fatigued. He figured they could use a break. Kane also required one. He raised his hand, and the entourage stopped. The only sound Lord Alexsander heard was the horses panting and the faint whisper of the wind blowing in the trees.
When everyone dismounted safely, he announced, "We will break here for a few minutes, and then we need to be on our way. Handle your business quickly and get back as soon as possible."
