Dr. Clayton stood at the edge of the bedroom's entry, his sturdy shoulder leaning on the door frame with his hands in his pockets. His body language was relaxed, but his face said something different. The expression was one of extreme unease. His mouth drew into a straight line, and he cleared his throat before he informed Lord Alexsander of the day's earlier events.
"So that you understand the magnitude of my anxieties and fears. This morning, I witnessed your wife almost attack the butler when he brought her breakfast. If I had not arrived when I did, the man might have died or suffered a severe injury."
"Right before Giselle lost her composure and attempted to take advantage of Chadwick to fulfill her thirst, I stopped her. Today, I stepped in for you, Lord Alexsander, and offered my blood for her to drink. However, I will tell you I can't do it again. She left me feeling so weak that I could barely stay standing, and I almost passed out."
