Apart from the melodic chirps and shrill tweets of the wild birds, who were feasting on bugs scattered amongst the foliage, the garden was still and tranquil. The Lord observed the wild birds moving from one bush to another, searching for their next meal.
His thoughts marveled at how wonderful it would be to have such freedom from worry like these little birds. Their only concern was the next meal and a place to sleep. Then he watched the ragged barn cat creeping up to nab one of the little creatures.
The Lord remembered what his adopted father had once told him; 'No matter what freedoms you have, they always come with a price.' Realizing the old man's words were right, he decided it was better to be exactly who he was.
