He glanced at The Lord, still perturbed by his refusal to listen to him about using his skills as a barrister. Jackson sank into the plush Louis the IVX tapestry chair across from him. He relished in its softness against his tired body. Jackson kicked his tired feet up on the sturdy pedestal, feeling the cushion of its surface beneath his shoes. He gave a heavy exhale of relief. After a long day of running around the London court system, Jackson's senses were spent. All he wanted now was a glass of scotch and his bed.
There was a long pause as the Lord gathered his thoughts and considered his next questions. But, before he could speak, Lucy arrived at his study with a letter.
"There is a man downstairs to see you, Milord. He said it is of an urgent nature. He told me to tell you it is Edmund."
