As Christopher and Rose stood facing each other in his study, he sensed something was off with her, especially at the mention of Sierra's name. He was unsure of the reason, but he did not have time to press her for questions. He and Jackson needed to leave.
Before their departure, Chris had a surprise in store for Rose. When he held out his hand, she felt the warmth of his palm against hers.
"I've been wanting to share something with you for a while now. It's downstairs in the back of the home."
Christopher glanced over at Jackson as he was busy placing documents in his briefcase. "This will only take a moment. I will meet you at the carriage."
