"How do you know Mr. Gillian?" Rose began the chat with a question about Kane's friend.
"I told you at dinner. Were you not listening? I have known Magnus for the past three decades. We met in HMRC. I noticed since the introduction that there is an issue. Rose, what's bothering you?" Kane bent down to catch Rose's attention and make her look at him.
"That's the problem. I'm still determining. I feel like I know that man, and I can't place it. Did he come to the dinner party?"
Kane shook his head. "No, he just got here."
For a moment, Lord Alxsander wondered why Rose would ask that question. Then he remembered her memory was flawed due to her recent head injury. Her Thoughts were still jumbled.
"He's not human, and he's no vampire or angel. What is he, Kane?"
