"Where are we going?" Rose asked as she pursued Giselle out of the parlor.
The pair ascended the staircase to the next floor of the Thorn Mansion. The manor's second story was built of white marble, and Rose noticed it was very tidy almost sterile. She heard her foot steps echoing on the surface of the tiles with every step they took.
"We have been summoned to Christopher's study," answered Giselle.
"Why?" Rose inquired, her brows knitted.
They were standing in front of the door, and before Giselle could answer her, Christopher opened it.
"Excellent, you made it. Come in."
Kane and Christopher had been waiting for them to arrive. Rose wondered why her uncle was sitting in Christopher's study. She thought about it and understood, he was there to tell him about the incident with Magnus.
