"Lord Alexsander?"
"Yes, Jackson."
"The girl was hurting terribly when I saw her sitting under the oak tree tonight. I wish Christopher would hear me out," voiced Jackson.
"Give The Lord some time; he's hurting too. Good night Mr. Taylor."
Lord Alexsander waved farewell at the stable master. He and Giselle boarded the coach and left for Northbrook. Kane would visit Dragonwood tomorrow to check on Rose.

The carriage lurched forward and started the journey back to the Northbrook Castle with Kane and Giselle inside. Lord Alexsander watched as Giselle sat quietly and stared from the small window inside the carriage. He was intrigued by what she was thinking. He sensed something was amiss, and she had a look of worry on her face, making her forehead wrinkle.
"If you keep making that face, it will freeze like that."
Kane was poking fun at the expression on Giselle's face.
