Next Morning.
Scarlett opened her eyes and found an IV needle stuck in the back of her hand. When she tried to get up, she felt her back hurt. A low groan escaped her lips as she lay back down. Her eyes stared at the ceiling silently, trying to gather her strength.
But then she was surprised to hear Xander's gentle voice in the room.
"Good morning Miss Scarlett. I suggest you don't move before the doctor checks your condition."
Xander put his iPad on the coffee table and walked towards the bed. He saw the girl lying down again. Her face was pale, and her turquoise eyes were slightly reddened but still gorgeous.
Scarlett saw him towering beside the bed, looking handsome in a white shirt and navy trousers. His hair is neatly combed back; it seemed like he had been ready long ago, unlike her, who was still wearing a nightgown with her lion hair.
