I bumped my phone on my forehead, shutting my eyes close tightly in embarrassment.
"Have you... eaten lunch? Seriously, Elena?" I groaned at my stupidity.
Since when we became so close to ask such questions? Or was I beginning to take this engagement thing seriously to fit in the role of an idea wif?

I still can't believe that I am engaged to none other than Devon Sanders!
How did it happen, and why? I know that Devon must have proposed to me for his selfish motives. But one thing my heart kept telling me is that he won't hurt me.
Why I kept putting so much faith in him is beyond my understanding, but it feels good to trust him.
I recalled the times we have spent recently. The way he fed me the bread and butter which he had prepared by himself brought a smile to my face.
That evening I literally had to push him out of my house, or I am sure he would have stayed over the night too.
