I instinctively took a step back in fear. Devon's head snapped at me at a lightning speed, his grey eyes warned me to not move. But when I silently shook my head at him, fighting back the tears that threatened to spill out, he clutched my hand painfully tight.
There was no way of releasing from his iron-like hands.
"Here's your criminal, Devon!"
My head turned to the man who sat leisurely in a chair, staring in our direction. My eyes went around to see the familiar face.
What was his name?
"Thank you, Mr Ortiz! I would like to have a few moments with him now." Devon's cold voice made me shudder in fear again.
What the hell was happening here?
"Sure!" Mr Ortiz looked quite excited to see that.
On his one command, the other men in the room stepped forward to pull the thick ropes before tying them to the two metal rods fixated in the ground.
