Elena was making it more difficult for me than it already was. Ignoring Mr Ortiz's warnings, I decided to tell her the truth about her father's corruption case. I wanted to tell her that I was the one who dig up the mud and brought the skeletons of the past into daylight.
For what?
To teach her a lesson. A lesson that she had done a grave mistake by crossing her paths with me. And now that I had her where I always wished her to be, I couldn't bring myself to begin this new life with her without telling her the truth.
I was scared, yes! I was scared that she would hate me and our marriage might end on the very day it had begun. But what was the point in starting it based on the foundations that were deteriorated by lies and deception?
