"Today is indeed special Maddie. Today was the day I was waiting for so long. Devon finally made it!" Victor's voice was calm and low. It was anything but exciting, and yet Madison could pick on the happiness in his voice.
Madison was silent for a few moments before she said.
"He hasn't made it, Victor. You gave him this opportunity. Because you wanted to prove Elena wrong. You did it for yourself and not for our son!"
She was angry, definitely angry. But that was the uniqueness of Madison Sanders. She never let out her anger at her husband, but she also didn't hold back from saying the truth.
Now Victor realised the reason for breaking that kiss short.
"You can think what you want, Maddie. But the truth is I am happy to see where Devon is today.
This was the first time Devon came out of his shell. He stepped out of his office and spoke to his staff. He spent time with them and became a part of them.
