"Bobby? Bobby honey, where are you?" Frida's footsteps thumped against the floor as she ran from one room to the other in search of her son.
"I am here, mommy."
She heard his voice coming from her left, and she walked to the outside patio, where she found him sitting between the mound of his toys.
As soon as the six-year-old caught his mother walking in his way, he looked up at her with a smile. Frida's steps stopped as she stood near him.
Her son's smile stole away all her problems and worries in an instant.
"Bobby, how many times I have told you to not step out of the house without asking mommy? You should be careful my dear." She chided him while kneeling in front of him.
His innocent big eyes filled with confusion, and he tilted his head before asking, "of what, mommy?"
Her spine straightened up as the smile on her face froze. How should she explain to her little boy about how the world could be so cruel?
