"But now... if this little secret remains between us or gets out is completely dependent on YOU, Elena!"
I heard Victor Sanders say with a sly smile that held a promise of trouble.
"Shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself if you really know my secret?" I counter-questioned.
His jaw ticked, but he maintained his composure.
"You know it was inevitable. We did everything we could."
"NO!!!" I couldn't hold back anymore and growled loudly, not caring if anyone heard my voice outside his office.
Even he looked a bit taken aback by my reaction.
"No, you didn't do anything, Victor Sanders! Because if you had done what you should have then my mother would have been alive today!" My vision turned foggy as I glared at him, consolidating all my hatred toward that man, the reason for my mother's death.
"Elena-"
"Shut up!" At that point, I didn't care that the same was my father-in-law.
