Days were passing in a blur as both Devon and I got busy in our respective careers. He was now handling both Sanders Telecommunications as its CEO and Sanders Cements as a special charge.
It left him with so little time, which was not enough to cover up even his sleep. While I was busy understanding the new people, their ways and new cases that came under the jurisdiction of the city branch.
In the beginning, we used to visit dad in Swindon for a couple of weeks, but as the workload grew, we couldn't get enough time to do that as Devon was held back in the office on the weekends too.
With Steve and Joanna by my side, I was happy to work at the new place and enjoyed brunches and shopping sprees when Devon was busy.
