Ortiz left Devon's office after warning the two of them to take precautions. Though he acted composed in front of them, he wiped the sweat on his forehead as soon as he stepped out of those black doors.
He hurriedly made his way towards the elevator and then to his office. Once inside, he locked the door after ordering his secretary to not disturb him for some time.
He rushed to the large window and dialled Nolan's number after sending him the clip he had taken from Devon.
Nolan picked up the call on the fourth ring, but before Ortiz opened his mouth, he heard panting from the other end.
"What the hell are you doing?" Ortiz demanded without wasting time exchanging pleasantries.
Nolan was drenched in sweat as he ran as if his life depended on it. Ortiz's face contorted in confusion as he heard someone shriek in fright.
"Nolan? What the-"
"Mr Ortiz... I... my life is in danger!" Nolan's fear-stricken voice made Ortiz's face pale.
