Madison's fingers tightened around the steering wheel as she breathed hard, staring at the car in front of her, wide-eyed. She honked a horn but got no reply in return.
Dabbing the cold sweat that had broken out on her forehead, she opened the car door. As soon as she did that, the raindrops began hitting her side. She came out of the car and was drenched from head to toe within seconds.
She looked around, squinting her eyes, but the heavy rain and darkness didn't help at all. She tightened her jacket around herself before rushing forward.
She first checked the cars to see if she had hit the brakes in time. Other than a small dent, there was no other damage to both cars.
But where did that car come from?
Madison walked over to the driver's side of the window and knocked on it. She waited in the rain but got no reply.
"Hello? Are you okay in there? Hello?"
