I heard the beeping mechanical sounds around me long with whispers. I couldn't decipher what they were saying, but one voice amongst those many made my heart flutter in excitement.
But why I couldn't see him?
I tried to pry my eyes open, but it seemed like the most difficult task in the world. My eyes were too heavy as if someone had put a tonne of weight on them.
A large and hard hand touched my arm, sending bolts of electricity throughout my body. The warm breath fanned my face, and the familiar scent of cologne exploded bombs of desire within me.
"D-Devon?" I finally opened my eyes, but everything was blurry.
And my voice came out rough as if someone else was talking from my mouth.
"Elena? Elena! I am here love. Please open your eyes. I am right here."
