A ringing laugh of a woman blasted through the speakers as the man sat on the stairs of his secret place in his office building. He had his phone glued to his ear while he enjoyed his cigarette.
He reciprocated her satisfaction. Because her happiness made him happy, and her sadness turned him into a monster.
"I can't believe they both are such a fool! I mean after the incident at 'Green Lotus', I expected them to just get done with each other.
But here are they again entangled in the consequences of their sins!" Her voice transformed from amused to poisonous real quickly.
The man smirked. "I wish I could see her face when her daddy dearest got arrested!"
The woman hummed before she went silent for a brief moment.
"By the way, tell me one thing. How did the system find out about Oliver Bell's mishap? It's been a long time right?" She had the same question that everyone had.
